Non Clinical Apprenticeships
The Trust is proud of its Apprenticeship Scheme with a success rate of over 80% of Apprentices obtaining substantive contracts by the time they complete their apprenticeships.
Apprenticeships start at level 2 and can include public or patient facing roles and/or back office, behind the scenes work. No previous hospital or related work experience is necessarily required.
You will work alongside other administrators, clinical and support staff who will support, train and mentor you as well as receiving a full study programme with the training provider delivering your apprenticeship. This may include travel to and from a local college or place of training.
These apprenticeships offer a full time fixed term contract ranging between 13 and 24 months depending on apprenticeship specialism. You will receive a salary of £10,710 for the first 12 months (increasing from month 13 depending on your age).
Towards the end of the apprenticeship you will be supported (subject to you meeting our behaviour standards, performance expectations and your apprenticeship), to apply for permanent vacancies within the hospital. The starting salary for band 2 posts is £17,460 with incremental progression and opportunities for further advancement if successful.
You will have a good standard of education including a minimum Grade 3/D in Maths and English.
We offer Laboratory Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Healthcare Science Technicians, Carpentry & Joinery Assistants, Finance & Accounting Assistants, Business Administration and Customer Service.
