Covid-19
Recruitment remains a top priority for us here at CUH – In line with current social distancing guidelines we have changed some of our recruitment practices. These pages have been designed to help us share the latest recruitment guidance as we manage the COVID-19 outbreak.
For further information about how the wider Trust is managing the situation for our patients, and visitors, please visit www.cuh.nhs.uk
Interviews
Due to the current pandemic situation and following government restriction guidelines around remote working and social distancing, we are currently unable to conduct any interviews onsite or in person. Recruiting to the Trust remains a top priority for us here at CUH, and therefore alternative measures have been put in place to ensure that these can continue. Instead of meeting you ‘face to face’ we may conduct your interview via:
One of our recruitment team will contact you prior to your scheduled interview to let you know how this will be conducted. If you have any questions regarding the interview process, please contact the appointing manager for the vacancy or main recruitment

Pre-employment Checks
For the purpose of verifying your identity, right to work in the UK and the Disclosure & Barring (DBS) check where applicable, temporary changes have been made to pre-existing guidance allowing us to now accept scanned and emailed copies of original documentary evidence
Following your conditional offer of employment, you will be required to complete some pre-employment identification checks. Part of this includes a full identification and Right to Work in the UK check and DBS check (where applicable). We are currently unable to check your ID documents in person, however these can now be scanned and emailed to us at: recruitment@addenbrookes.nhs.uk.
Please note:
- The scan must be in colour
- All parts of the document must be visible in the scan
- We require a minimum of three documents showing your full name, address, date of birth, photo and right to work, when combined
- Scans and mobile phone photos are acceptable
More information about what forms of identification are acceptable can be found at: Trac ID Documents

Overseas travel & quarantine requirements - Band 5 nurses
Current travel restrictions due to the pandemic are being continually monitored. We continue to hold interviews with our international candidates via Skype, and look forward to welcoming you to the Trust as soon as circumstances allow.
We continue to monitor government guidance on all travel and quarantine requirements, and will provide further updates via these pages.

Welcoming you to CUH - Corporate Induction Programme
To ensure that we are adhering with both national and local trust safety guidelines, we have added more dates to our corporate induction welcome programme. We are however restricting numbers to a maximum of 20 people per session. We have also moved some elements the induction programme online, allowing you to complete this remotely.
Before you start you will also be asked to complete a Trust COVID-19 risk assessment – more information regarding this will be provided in your new starter welcome pack.
